Annual Giving Campaign

Avery is a fifth grade student in MCCSC who is carving her path in life with music.  She plays the ukulele, cello, and sings beautifully.  In studying the ukulele she was inspired to write her first song – “Be a Doer, Be a Dreamer Today.”

At first, Avery seems like an average fifth grade girl but when you talk with her you learn she is brimming with imagination and talent.  When she picks up a ukulele or her music teacher accompanies her on the piano her eyes light up and she shines with confidence.  Music has definitely enriched her appetite for self-expression and success.

Research show that having strong music education programs in our schools facilitates learning in other subjects.  Avery is clearly an example of this as “Math and music are my favorite subjects.”

Music education is just one of the many ways the Foundation annually support enrichment in our schools.  Our teacher grant program supports our teachers with new instruments, science and literacy materials, field trips, health and wellness programs, and more.

Will you please renew your commitment to our students today?
