The Foundation of Monroe County Community is dedicated to providing resources to improve and enhance the educational development of all MCCSC Students.
Served in 2008-2009:
11,025 students participated in 47 grant projects 2000 students participated in high school transformation efforts 200 community members participated in public forums on the future of public education 100 freshman are engaged in a new learning experience at New Tech High School 2740 students participated in one or more of our Health & Wellness initiatives 55 upper classmen received scholarships and awards 22 high school students were honored for personal achievements 118 fifth graders received camperships to attend Bradford Woods with their peers 16 adult education students received scholarships for the GED 11,000 students benefited from the FMCCS Science Initiative
Since 1973, the Foundation has provided 1156 grants in 23 schools to support more than 340,000 students.
During the 2008-2009 school year, cumulative funding provided by FMCCS to the school corporation exceeded $1 million dollars!
